Knitting - Scrunchie
We spend hours looking for one off workshops that not only create something fun and useful but also lend themselves to learning new (or not so familiar) skills. Like this scrunchie that you can knit for yourself or a pal! If you are looking for ways to practice knitting in the round (or learning to knit in the round) and also want to try your hand at stranded color work this project is pretty fabulous. Knit in 3 colors to create a gingham fabric. We highly recommend casting on the 100 stitches prior to class - not sure how? see a craft associate!
Limited to 5 students (16 yrs of age or older); 2 students are required for class to meet. If a class is cancelled due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund.
- Level: advanced beginner/intermediate - you are not a complete beginner because you have taken Knitting Basics, Knitting II, and probably something else that involves confidently knitting and purling.
- We provide: moral support, elastic hair ties, and expertise.
- You bring: yourself, a copy of the pattern, a stitch marker, size 2-3 knitting needles (we recommend a 32"+ cable for magic loop or DPNs), and really any fingering weight in 1-3 colors depending if you want a solid or gingham scrunchie. You could use a heavier weight of yarn but your scrunchie probably will get pretty thick!
- Don't forget that we offer 15% off all supplies for any of our workshops.
- Class length: 2 1/2 hours
