Jalie revisited the basic leggings pattern and updated it with ingenious seaming (no center front seam!) and a gusset and option for a contoured waistband.
- View A has a wide contoured waistband with hidden elastic to keep your leggings in place.
- View B is finished with an elastic at the waist.
- Three length options: mid-thigh shorts, capri, ankle.
Because it has no front seam and no side seam, it is the perfect sewing pattern for asymmetrical spandex prints.
Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Recommended Fabrics: 60" fabric width; stretch knit with 60% stretch in the width AND length and nice recovery (cotton spandex, nylon/spandex).
You will also need: 1-2 yds of 3/8" elastic for the waistband (view A), OR 1 yd of 3/4" elastic for the waistband (view B, sizes F-S) or 2 yds of 1" elastic for the waistband (view B, sizes T-FF).
